Chicken is a very nutritious food. We always eat pan fried chicken breast or roasted chicken wings. It yummy!

But today I would like to share a Chinese Style steam chicken which is also very delicious but is a less oil recipe, which is good for those looking for healthy and reduced fat cooking style

And it’s simple!

First, we can choose some dried vegetable to garnish the chicken. You can use Goji berries, red dates, mushrooms, Cordyceps flowers or black fungus etc to steam with chicken to bring out the mixed flavour. We got all of them in stick. Just pick one or two your favourite.
You need to wash and soak
the dried vegetables until it is soft. It usually takes few hours but mushrooms may need some more time, better overnight. Then you need to cut
some of them into small pieces, like mushrooms or red dates so that the flavour can come out. You need to remove the seeds of the red dates at the same time.


Then you need to wash
the chicken, cut it into pieces. Then mix it with some soy sauce, sesame sauce, dark soy sauce, sugar or oyster sauce to add some flavour to the meat. Leave it for a few hours to let the sauce be absorbed into the meat.

Before you steam the chicken, you can add the soaked dried vegetables (squeeze the water out first) to it and mix well. Then put them on the plate evenly, steam with high heat for about 30 minutes.
Then you can serve!

You will find the chicken’s original flavour is fully enhanced by the sauce and the garnish vegetables. Yummy! Enjoy!
