Ingredients: bamboo fungus, red dates, white fungus, water, rock sugar
Method:
- Wash bamboo fungus and white fungus, soak in warm salt water
- Cut off the mushroom cap of the bamboo fungus, that is, the closed end
- Put the right amount of water, bamboo fungus, red dates and white fungus into the pot
- Bring it to boil, turn to low heat and cook for 40 minutes, turn off the heat, add rock sugar and cook until dissolve.

Method:
1. Wash the chicken, cut it into pieces, blanch in boiling water to remove blood, and then rinse with water.
2. After soaking the bamboo fungus in water until soft, Cut off the mushroom cap of the bamboo fungus, then cut into small pieces and blanch in boiling water for later use.
3. Take a pot, add water and ginger slices and bring to a boil, add the chicken pieces and the bamboo fungus, turn to low heat and cook for about 25 minutes.
4. Add a bit salt.

18.25245043 BTC (approx CAD $1.6 million) was drained from my account on July 29th in the Coldcard wallet hack. My Bitcoin was in cold storage. My keys were stored on a Coldcard device that was kept in a safety deposit box and had never been connected to the internet. However, hackers discovered a vulnerability in the portion of the hardware wallet’s code used to generate seed phrases. This allowed them to use AI to brute-force seed phrase guesses. I was at our cottage and only heard about the hack today.
“No way this affects me,” I thought.
I logged into the Wasabi Wallet software to view my Bitcoin wallets.
Right away, I saw a series of red withdrawal transactions, and I knew.
Between 9:36 p.m. and 9:43 p.m. on July 29, every wallet I had had been emptied.
18.25245043 BTC was gone. That’s just over CAD $1.6 million.
Perhaps the hardest part was that I did everything right.
